DISCUSSION : A4 DIE SETS ...YOUR THOUGHTS

I have told you what is coming to us very soon now . I would also like to hear your views on A4 dies . What else would you like to see and what do you think about the price of these dies. I can tell you that they are very expensive to produce  . Please let us have your views .

  1. More A4 dies would be a good thing, the range available are ok but a bit disappointing, as for price, well £25 - £30 would be ok if each set had four or five dies in the basic shapes and possibly two or three dies in the more detailed sets, more A4 embossing folders would be goo too, no point in buying/having an A4 machine unless more A4 products are available.

    1. Thank you . Everything you ask for is coming soon . More full A4 die sets all under £30 and a range of A4 embossing folders for around £8. We are very excited , but still lots of hard work to do.

  2. My personal view is that I'm not bothered - I don't make (or like) very big cards and don't scrapbook; my friend recently bought a GC and offered me half shares in it (free to me!) but Im perfectly content with my Cuttlebug which I've had for years . I'm not criticising anyone else's choices, just putting my own POV.

  3. Oh, I could have added that my main desire is for elegant 7"x5" embossing folders :)

    1. Hi. all viewpoints are welcome Fiona. Thank you. The folders you are for are under discussion as are sizes such as 8x8 , we are working hard to bring something a bit different to the UK , but the stipulation is , all at a good price .

    2. Hi Gordon
I am so curious about the new machine. I can't wait to see it and the main cards I do are 6x6 and 8x8 so would love to see lots of dies and embossing folders to fit with this. I am loving the crafters companions folders because of their size but would like 8x8 masks even as then we could get more for our money with them. Please put out of our misery soon. I feel a visit to your shop coming on. Have a safe journey home. X

    3. these size cards will fit in to an a4 folder , so maybe there is no need for the other sizes to be made . We think we have a the machine the UK really has been waiting for ....and here is another idea for everyone to think about ....part exchange on your old machine ! We are thinking hard about how we can help everyone .

    4. Hi Gordon
I was thinking if there were square dies we could have fancy edges so that all we need to do is put a piece of 8" or 6" square card through the machine and fit it directly on to the front of our cards. Perhaps if the dies themselves were 7.75 or 5.75 inches that would fit on to the cards nicely.perfect !!

  4. I LOVE the sound of square embossing folders! Not too bothered about A4 dies, as I generally don't make big cards, but if the price is good I might be tempted!

    1. what we have found out is that an a4 size folder will of course do for any size of card if you think about it .

  5. Initially I bought all the available A4 dies and I am afraid that I have hardly used them. I don't make huge cards but I do love making books and art journalling so it would depend on how much I like the particular shape or design.

  7. Hi Gordon, I have lots of dies but I have never purchased any of the A4 dies, I think they are too pricey and big. I would love to see some dies that would work with 8x8 and 6x6 cards etc. My favorite card size to make is a 8x8 and I also make journals, scrapbooks etc and 8x8 again it my prefered size. Cant wait to see what developes Helen x

  8. It's true that very big embossing folders will take smaller sizes of cards, but the scale of the patterns may not be appropriate (have you tried using a patterned 12x12 paper on a 6x4.5 card???)
