We had decided to call our two new machines simply THE GODDESS .
Another name we came up with was FLEX as this machine is truely flexible in every sense .
We are not sure what you may think of this name , so we are opening a discussion here on what you think the new machine should be called .
I have explained what the machine does so maybe the name should reflect this , im not sure .
Lets have your suggestions , or if on the other hand you like our suggestion please tell us so .
If someone does come up with an unusual name and we were to use it , we would give them one of the new machines as a gift ...so go on folks get thinking !
Gordon
I would call it the customizer, emblazened or fairytale (after once upon a time)
ReplyDeleteinteresting , thank you
DeletePlease could I suggest flexibilitie or flexible friend or even the miracle.
DeleteCan't wait for the christening of this new baby !!
Taking into consideration the name of your company & all your lovely existing products plus all the things your new machine is going to do maybe a name of Dream or The Dream would be appropriate.... Good luck with it and look forward to seeing it along with all your other new products you release - EXCITED!!! :D
DeleteNot as excited as we are ! Our new machine really is the next generation to anything we already have .
Deletehi! I like the name flex better than goddess how about maxiflex it gives some idea of its size and its capabilities
ReplyDeleteit refers to
its size and
Hi Gordon, I think you should definately stick with the Goddess as I said before The Goddess, The mother of all machines.. the name says it all. For different colours you could make them editions, for example the first one you could call it the Athena Edition (the goddess of crafts). I think it would be really lovely to do one in memory of Robert in his favourite colours.
ReplyDeleteAll very exciting, love the name Goddess Helen x
Thank you Helen , love your thoughts . Gordon
DeleteHow about Cuttabuv!!!! (the rest!)
ReplyDeleteKate
Sounds interesting Kate , thank you.
DeleteHere's a few more to add to the mix, they have probably been said or used before, but here goes:-
ReplyDeleteDienamic, Phoenix, Dreamcut, Trojan....
Kate
Also Dienamite and Dieversity
DeleteI like the Goddess - but I have always liked the name of Roberts blog - so why not the Electic Storm or simply The Storm Machine - because it sounds quite Steam Punky and I think you would "craft up a storm" when you use it!
ReplyDeleteSorry to have been such a lurker -but I have read with a great deal of interest all the posts and comments and wish you well with your future plans.
Thank you , your idea is interesting and im glad many of you still have Robert in your mind. It was strange being in Anaheim without him as our last trip anywhere was here one year ago . There have been many kind thoughts expressed over here by the people he knew in the USA. Everyone has missed his wit and laughter at the show. Gordon
DeleteIt could be 'The CraftHand' your right hand crafting friend!
ReplyDeleteEither the goddess, the name of a goddess eg Brigantia (I thought this one as it is celtic and has connections with Scotland), or something like Storm (Thinking of Rob's blog name)?
ReplyDeleteHi Gordon, May be you could call it ,The Marketeer(armed, ready and strong).
ReplyDeleteHi Gordon,
ReplyDeleteHow about calling it the Ultimo as it will be the ultimate crafting machine!
another good name !
DeleteHi Gordon I like the name of the 'Goddess', but I am also liking the Storm too like many others. I wiah you every success with your new venture and i think you need to get it launched on C & C to give you some extra publicity.
ReplyDeleteWe will be speaking to them on our return , but they are heavily involved with spellbinders and may not let a competitor in.
DeleteI think it should be Robert's Revelation - as every opening of the plates is a revelation
ReplyDeleteThank you and im pleased you all have Robert in mind.
DeleteHow about Athena (goddess of wisdom, war and crafts)?
ReplyDeletenice name !
