  1. I love to watch people showing techniques for stamping, colouring using Die cutting imaginatively - not just popping things out of pre cut kits and sticking them on. Or to put it more clearly, Artistic, not 'licky-sticky'.

  3. i would welcome a new craft channel where it was ALL about the products and techniques and NOT the ego's of the presenters..thank you.i look forward to "the new"...peter.

  4. Hi Gordon and all your wonderful staff!!!!
Congratulations on the award and the new Craft channel sounds very intriguing. What annoys me most about the present one is the amount of CD crafting they have - there isn't enough stamping or 'mixed media' art, showing different techniques with paints etc.. Also, the fact when they say a product is new, but you know for a fact that it has been around for ages!!!. The pricing must be competitive and must keep up to date with current trends.
Still very intrigued - don't keep us in suspense for too long!
    Best wishes
    Kate

  5. Sounds very interesting and not before time - I personally would like to see more 'demo time' and 'less presenter' time and also less time spent going over all the products - I understand they have to show you the products that are on sale and that they need the sales but sometimes the first half of the show is taken up just showing the products. Can't wait to hear more - if it is you and your team that is doing this I wish you all the luck in the world and can't wait to see the end result - Gail Tx

  6. Hi, I hate the huge mark ups on craft tv when you know you can get the items cheaper online and usually without the postage charges, either for each item or large single postage charges. Especially when the presenters keep braying about what good value everything is!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi, I like to see everything up front before the demos etc with postage included.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I like to see demonstrations . Presenters who are pushy and like the sound of their own voices are very annoying and I switch off. I would like to see more hands on crafting rather than cd's.

  9. Well this sounds very interesting. I am an avid C&C watcher & crafter but I actually record all the craft programs 7 days a week then play them back, fast forward most of it & just watch the demos. What I find most frustrating is having to listen to the presenter constantly talking about the products. I know its a shopping channel & obviously the main aim is to sell but we crafters like to see the demos, that is what actually persuades you that you need to buy that particular product. The other thing for me is a lack of variation on the same day. It's possible to have the same products pushed, up to 5 or 6 times a day. I also turn off when certain presenters are on, but I suppose you can't please everyone all of the time. For me my main interest is card making. You wish you hadn't asked now don't you!!!

  10. Hi Gordon, I too would like to see more stamping and altered art techniques. PROPER CRAFTING. Also for the demos not to be rushed. Less interference from the presenters would be welcome, I know they have to tell you what is available but once is enough and not to endlessly keep repeating the same old babble. ABSOLUTELY NO CD CRAFTING and what I call lick and stick. Maybe longer shows so more time for techniques. Hugs Annette x

  11. I for one will watch the new channel as long as there are plenty of demo's of crafting from scratch.I dislike pre cut kits.Like most of the other posts say I'm sick and tired of the craft cds.C&C seem to be ramming them down our throat, more so since stephanie has reappeared(why they've let her back I'll never know)has put me of watching.Intriuged by the new channel.

  12. Great news, will be a change for a bit of competition, on Freeview i hope as we don't all have Sky. Repeating themes once or twice a day but a couple of times a week at other times for people who are out. Show products at begining and the end of programme not keep jumping back and forth, concentrate on demo's throughout the show. If we like the demo's we buy the item not just someone spouting off about how good it is we need to see what it can do.

Like the new machine will you be taking orders at Stevenage?
Good luck with the new venture.

  14. Hi! like most of the other comments the demos are the most important thing Its great learning new tecniques my thing is stamping inks and die cutting I don't do kits but it is were I started so they have there place would love to learn more about mixed media I think customer service is very important and has to be easily accessable and friendly you need to know you can return something easily and cheaply if its not suitable as for the presenters you can't please all of the people all of the time as long as there are plenty of demos and different personalities I'm sure it will work ok hope this helps good luck can't wait to hear more janet

    1. You are right on the customer service , if this falls down then no matter how good the products or the presenter , it can all so easily be destroyed.Like everyone else i hate being made to talk to someone from the other end of the world who knows nothing of my problems...aaahhhh

  15. It would be good to have some sewing shows, and shows that aren't just expensive machines, but products that can be useful for people that sew, i.e. material, thread, and associated equipment.

Shows that showcase other crafts not just papercrafting.

    ReplyDelete
  16. As everyone has said the demos are the most important. I like arty stuff and mixed media. I hate it when the presenters keep interrupting and when lots of emails are read out. For me it is the demos which make me want to buy, not the endless prattling on about the wonderful products.
I would also like the website TV guide to say who is doing the demos, not who the presenter is. I really like some of the presenters and I really loathe some, but that is not what makes me watch or not watch the program, that depends on who is doing the demos. I also hate it if something sells out and they immediately stop an interesting demo.
Another pet hate is the fact that they have been using the same advertising clips between programs for years e.g. people at the NEC craft show and people who have won prizes.

  17. p.s. to my last comments PLEASE don't let it be like QVC !

    ReplyDelete
  18. I would like to see more variety of craft, not just papercrafting.
Sewing, quilting, knitting, jewellery making are all popular at the moment but don't get their fair share of programmes.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am fed up of CDs, foiled / die cut card kits

I'd love to see the programmes focus more of using the products than just talking about them

    Start to finish projects too

Good luck - it sounds like a massive undertaking

  20. I'll second the sewing suggestion. Plenty of demos to give us inspiration please.

  21. Have just heard about this new venture and it sounds very exciting. I enjoy the demonstrations and watching new and current techniques. What I dislike are presenters who constantly butt in and insist on telling us that 10% of the stock has been sold. I watch QVC and C&C crafting channels, QVC have not got it right they are always in such a hurry. Also if an item has sold out let the demonstrator still keep using the item, I feel sorry for all the people that have brought the item never to see a demonstration with it, we all know that it will come back in stock again.

  22. For me personally there would be:

NO lick-and-stick/pick-and-plonk/tarty female image cardmaking and NO so-called vintage ladies/gentlemen with 20th century faces!!

    LOTS of demos.
LOTS of needlecraft e.g. sewing, embroidery, knitting, quilting, crochet, silk ribbon embroidery, toy/doll making
    LOTS of mixed media techniques
    Journalling
    Interior design

Bet you're sorry you posed the question!!

    Thanks

  23. Hi Gordon, just got wind of the new craft channel and I am so intrigued, I think crafters enjoy choice and variety in craft products especially if they are more arty and leave room for ones own creativity, new crafts and products would be good, lots of demos that you actually get to see, less product pushing and for me no more bargain buys and special deals that are £200+ a time, these prices are prohibitive to many of us, and I agree with most postees that air time that feeds the uber egos of presenters are a definite no no,

    ReplyDelete
  24. It is good news to have a choice of craft programme ,I watch C & C 24/7 but why they have taken Nancy and Stephanie Weightman back I will never know, it means more of their discs...bring some real crafting on and lots of sewing. I look forward to watching and good luck

  25. I agree with all the comments so far. Customer service MUST be a key point. No one reading from a script all the time and therefore keep it in this country. None of this 21 day money return for refunds. These people take the money straight away so it should be refunded the same way on return of a product. Agree with the CD crafting being a pain in the ****, there are far too many CDs for crafting and all much of a muchness. We all want to see proper demos being done and let the person doing the demo do the talking not just the answering, after all they are the ones who know the products better than anyone. Workshops need to be looked at for ALL crafts. Papercraft, sewing, embroidery, machine embroidery, beading and jewelery making, art, water colouring and pen colouring etc. Look at the sort of classes Jenny Raymont and Barbara Grey do. They are instructional, easy to work alongside and also very entertaining but most of all they show the products being sold properly and exactly how to use them. Live phone in is essential too where people can ask questions or ask for help on the spot not send in emails that never get replied to or the questions asked. Sorry to go on Gordon but we spend thousands of pounds on these channels for our crafting items but yet no one listens to us when we suggest what we really want to see. Maybe this is one of the reasons C&C are losing so many customers. how they manage to get all these so called awards is beyond me because they just dont deserve them, the people who do deserve them are the demonstrators if they are allowed to demonstrate as they need to.
All the very best to you and your team and keep up the good work

  26. Like everyone else I would like a new channel for craft. I too am fed up with many CDs and sick together kits.
Prices are mostly not as good as the presenters make out and it annoys me that postage has to be added on, why not include it in the prices, after all it has to be paid!
I look forward to news of the new channel.

  27. I would like to see a broad range of crafts with good quality demonstrations by skilled and knowledgeable crafters. If a particular type of prodct is being offered they could demonstrate ways it could be used in various crafts. By doing so, it would encourage people to watch shows they might otherwise have avoided - for example, Tyvek can be used for making beads, in papercrafting and textile manipulation. P&P charges should be kept to a minimum. Also, it would be good to have .pdf downloads available to show how to do what is in the demonstrations.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would like to see differeent crafts showcased rather than all papercraft & scrapbooking. My choice would be for sewing, dressmaking, quilting, knitting, crochet & jewellery making. I do like papercrafting using cd's rather than just buying kits as I can choose exactly what I want to craft with. Hopefully there would be room for all.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I like create and craft and love it when sue Wilson is on as the diecutting is what I like best. The bit I don't like is the amount of time they spend showing all the items which is nearly half of the show and even after that they still keep telling us what the item number is despite the fact it is showing on the screen if we need to know it.like a lot of others are saying the hunky dory and Kanban kits are all done ready to stick on a card so boring to watch and not enough to do with the kit when you get it home. Surely part of the fun is mixing and matching things rather than having it done for you. Wish a.l the presenters knew about crafting rather than bluffing their way through it and it must be hard for them to sell stuff they don't know what it is for.
Fortunately most of them do know about it and I love leonie she is so funny and has no airs and graces.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would like anything but not all papercrafting, I watch some of the shows but all the cards made now all look similar. Cards bought now in shops are much better than they used to be and dont have to be expensive, Must be comparable to the sometimes huge kits being sold, most are only good if you sell sell sell.

Sewing, knitting, needlecrafts are all getting very popular now but dont have a lot of time on craft shows, be nice to see a lot more of these.

Lastly I suppose we have to have presenters but we all know they dont know the product like the expert does so it would be nice if they dont pretend to know the product and just be there to guide and ask all the questions we want asking. A lot think joking is the thing to do but although the occasionally funny is good we dont need smut, we dont need to know all their home business and we definitely dont need to be treated like children, most of us are well past being children.

  31. As others has already said demos without loads of stock update intruptions are hugely important I would also love to see a wider range of crafting Friendly plastic, enammeling
even dochroic glass would all be great A fixed postage rate (I know some channels offer a fixed daily rate and you can add to your order throughout the day, excellent idea ) More emphasis on knowledgable demonstarators rather than exitable presenters and finally excellent customr service based in this country

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like many others are on a very limited budget so they need to reaise that 'it's a bargin only £180' is unaprochable to many people.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like many others would like to see more product than presenter. But it's nice the shows are fun. I also unlike many others like CD crafting, they are a good sauce of always having wonderful papers and other things that we all need to put a card together. We can all learn something new, so being on the ball with new products is paramount. And as far as customer service go,s. someone we can understand would be wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Sounds like good news - can't be any worse than the inadequate Craft channels we have now - and I wish you all the best in your new venture.
UK call centres would be a must for me and to be able to either call them for free or at least at reasonable rates.
If I email with a question or a query it would be nice to get a response in a reasonable time rather than a month later.
And, please, can we have more demonstrators who are actually allowed to demonstrate the goods without any "me me me" presenters. These presenters drive me nuts and even if I want to watch a show they put me right off and I switch off the tv

    ReplyDelete
  35. Would like to see postage included in the price and also would like to be able to add to orders in the course of a day. Of course free postage would be even better.
Regarding prices of goods on "other" craft channels I will always shop around for better prices before buying from them as it is often cheaper to buy direct from the company selling the goods and often with free postage as well

    ReplyDelete
  36. I would love to see crafts other than cardmaking.
Working with fabric is very popular at the moment. I would be very interested in being able to purchase a fabric bundle and watch how to use it to sew something like a table runner or small quilt for example.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think the first & most important thing is a GOOD customer service... I don't think we're getting that with other craft channels atm, also for most I think postage cost are another sticking point... Other than that bring it on cause I can't wait to see what you're gunna bring us :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. When watching a craft channel, I want to see some crafters crafting with good quality and well priced products. I want reasonable postage. I want to look, listen, learn and be drawn towards the new products by a crafting expert, not a salesman. The sales are sure to follow.

If it’s any use, the reasons that I no longer use C&C are;-

Once I purchase I want to pay reasonable postage and not spend £10.00 on a single small item to be charged a totally disgraceful and unwarranted £9.99 on postage to a British island 20 minutes from Liverpool (unbelievably the same as their postage to Australia - globally on their delivery charges only the United States and Canada are more expensive). Nor do I wish to be coerced into paying to join a ‘club’ to get a good price.

I don’t want to be forced to call Mumbai when I want to speak to someone. I want reliable and accessible customer service here in the British Isles which is better for the customer and the country.

I don’t want to listen to the presenters - particularly my personal switch-off presenter Nigel May - dominating the demonstrations by chipping in all the time and dragging the camera away from the demonstrations or products, just to read out the endless emails. I have no problem with emails per se, but they would be more interesting if they actually contained useful questions about the products or techniques.

I don’t want to see an item that I have just ordered being swept from sight, because it was a sell-out, and the planned demonstration cancelled. It’s at best, rude, at worst it shows total contempt of their customers.

So, my needs are very basic. I want to see some crafters crafting with excellent and well priced products and reasonable postage! I want to look, listen, learn and be drawn towards the product by a crafting expert, not a salesman/woman who is selling halogen ovens one minute and trying to be a crafting expert the next.

We need a variety of companies with their various products. Not four or five companies taking over the channel. And less CDs and push out and stick products.

It’s pretty basic really and I’m looking forward to hearing more about your venture and Good Luck.

    Sorry you asked yet? ;-)

  39. Ooo sounds interesting. Would like to see more demos, stamping and affordable craft items. Can't wait to watch:)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Please remember we are not all card makers !!!! Scrapbooking, Altered Art, Home Projects etc. and plenty of demos. Less CD's and no piggin' peel offs please.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'd like to see more mixed media demos and more sewing. I don't like seeing demonstrators rushed to complete something before an item sells out. I personally don't see any benefit in plugging features of a bit of kit to death , eg this sewing machine will sew through all of these things on several occasions through an hour, better to use real time demonstrations of projects that include those aspects. I also think those demonstrators who use a range of products other than their own reap rewards, for example Ali Reeve often sells out yet she doesn't just use the products she brings in to sell . Can't wait to hear more about this new channel.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I think variety is the key so during a day there is something for everyone. My passion is papercraft, but I know crafting takes many forms. The problem with the other channel is its either all or nothing.

I also think the companies need to be reliable. The other channel often gets it in the neck for being slow, but if the companies who supply them are not reliable then there is nothing they can do and if that company is a "big noise" in the crafting industry then they would be reluctant to rock the boat.

There are some wonderful smaller companies who deserve a break, many of whom have been tossed aside for bigger prey, but who are often much much better.

Finally, as has already been said. Customer service! A nice, British based friendly staff would really be appreciated. Thanks everso much, this is really appreciated :)

  43. I do like cd crafting as I have played on my pc for years but make them different not all copying say vintage theme or whatever they think is flavour of the month. Also I feel packs are often too large what I like is a variety not yards of the same colour of ribbon for example. I do feel that as postage has to be paid just include it as part of the price but keep as low as possible, and yes I agree with everyone that the demos are what matters

    ReplyDelete
  44. As most people have said a good mix of crafts and plenty of demos. I love to buy new products but then some of them end up unused to to my lack of ideas so plenty of ideas to go with the products. Maybe linking to customer galleries as well as there are so many talented people who love to post pictures of their work. Before I start a project I ofen browse the internet for a while to get ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would like to see smaller companies used and would appreciate seeing things being made from scratch.I think the shows should be fun without being silly and i would like as others have said a mixture of crafts including model making.I agree that the prices should be competative and please lets have ordering and customer services in the uk .I dont mind cd crafting but perhaps the new channel could think about selling discounted ink catridges to go with them. I miss seeing people who used to be on c and c like bce crafts and sharon duncan and yourselves and hope the channel is going to be on freeview. Goodluck Gordon and Justin. Nicky.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I often buy direct from the company demonstrating, often cheaper, and always better service. So the new channel could use this to promote and we buy direct, unless this upsets their business model.

The guest must come first, demos must be completed when a product sells out, we've spent our money and they've made theirs. Self effacing presenters, no phone ins and email reading, but passing on live questions is great. Good demonstrations of cards with info on how they are made, no need for high pressure sales techniques. No adverts in the middle of shows. Prices at the start and end only, or on screen, bottom and left only. I switch off for some presenters, or record and fast forward. Time table the guests.

Assume we are intelligent people with an attention span longer than a gnat, (mostly true except on bad days!). No musak, I can provide my own if I want it,which I don't and no shouts and shrieks, excitement doesn't have to be loud.

Repeats are fine if later in the day or spread out. A good repeat is better than an hour of product listing. No repeat videos during a show while a guest is present.

A good mix of crafts,I buy CD's and even use some! I have used a good mix of skills over time and aspire to others, Ali Reeve, Sheena, Kaye and Barbara would be my top current crafters, Glenda was good. I enjoy programs that encourage me to aim high, but many people enjoy lick and stick and they should have a choice too. My most successful kit was used to make quick cards for an older friend so she had masses to give people at her day centre, I made the lot and she was delighted! Shows for real beginners and for experienced crafters..

The content matters more than the production values. Some shows with the low key U tube type style would be good, and this might be a good approach for overseas crafters, a good video camera or studio time must be cheaper than air flights. If you go to CHA, show us what we wouldn't see in the UK.

As wide a mix of companies as possible, there must be loads of small businesses with interesting products we don't know about.

Honesty on pricing, don't say it is cheap when it isn't, or say I'll make money crafting in my "little" business,or get £6 for a card. Low p&p or max for a day, UK call centres and normal phone numbers. If they are good for the guests and the crafters it should make for a good business, with reasonable prices or returns all round

    ReplyDelete
  47. Please please can we cut out the 'girlie girlie' chit chat and have more male presenters/demonstrators who actually know the products and how to use them.

It seems I'm in a minority being a male crafter but I know as much ( if not more) about some of the products than a lot of the female presenters let alone the males.

I get so frustrated when it is assumed that only females craft. I have been crafting for some years and am possibly the only male crafter who actively participates on well known crafting forums)

And please could the presenters use 'English' grammar instead of this american street wise 'I'm loving this' rubbish that has found it's way onto our screens.

There are many of us crafters who have been put off buying from C&C for various reasons ( mainly the mundane banter all through the demonstrations, the continual high pressure sales, presenters/demonstrators who have become too big for the chanel, 'in' conversations, poor customer service, an even poorer returns policy, and finally more variety in both products and crafts )

Good customer service and telephone manner are essential.

    Probably I'm asking too much....LOL

  48. Sewing please. Especially demos, soft toys, clothes, home decor etc and nice fabrics. Less of the presenters talking about themselves and constantly butting in on demos would be great too.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Sounds really interesting. I like all crafting and needs to suit all people. Some people will want Kanban/Hunkydory/CD style crafting while others will want much more involved complex crafting so a good mix - no just a whole week of CDs. Customer services is so important - so many gripes about C&C are about not being able to contact the CS dept and this started before it moved to India ( it was always bad). I would love to see some more scrapbooking, rubber stamping, love dies, love Tim Holtz, love papercrafting. I like the repeats - I get up early so watch shows I have missed. I like the potd but find all of the potw, blockbusters, 4 day deals and excuses to run the same program hundreds of times in a week is so tedious. We need variety. I will watch any crafting but have not watched much c&c lately as it seems to be the same show just repeated over and over again. Need to keep keen prices and fair postage - people shop around and know they can get free p+p if they spend over £? on the internet.

  50. More Demo's
    Less presenters
Less going over the same ground time and time again
and more to the point available on Virgin please!! Not everyone has sky or freeview!

  51. Oh really want demos on how to use products and not 45 minutes of an hour show going through a list of 197 products with no relevance to the show which can be found on the website. Just get on with the demos to show how to use the products and as each item is used give the number for them on the screen. Don't want lots of high pressure updates on how much stock is left.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE DEMOS LESS MESSING AROUND AND STOCK UP DATES AND EMAILS RUN ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN NOT READ OUT A BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A FAST DELIVERY AND CHEAP POSTAGE DEALS FROM LINDA

    ReplyDelete
  53. I "found" C and C over 10 years ago, when I was really poorly
and used to get up at 2am not being able to sleep...
Then it was Alan and Barry ? Remember ? Presenting.
That was when I started making cards...Looking back now, they were aweful ....anyway, sorry I digress....But after all that time I am still making and thank goodness my cards are much better, and have been selling them for years, NEED to so I can recoup the money.......

But being an "old time c and c watcher" I can honestly say
I do think it's getting worse..Too much chat...Too much silly talk...Too many e-mails read out especially when a guest is trying to show his or her wares....and the silly time going over and over the products, as others have said in an hour show it can take up half the show...? Why? We watch it because we are crafters, and we are probably going to buy, then we get fed up, find the site on the web and buy from there, as others also said with no p and p most times, and if you are canny enough go to a few sites and find the best price.....
But we do have to remember the "new" crafters , and thank goodness , because if there weren't people still wanting to do craft, where would we be now.....all the web sites and shops woould close....
A new craft chanel would be lovely, new ideaas, new people, a complete new outlook.....

    ReplyDelete
  54. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT BID TV ARE LUNCHING A TWICE WEEKLY CRAFT SHOW WITH ALAN AND BARRY IF THATS THE CASE I FOR ONE WONT BE WATCHING THESE TWO THEY STILL OWE PEOPLE A LOT OF MONEY AND ARE A PAIR OF HAS BEENS SO I HOPE THIS IS NOT THE NEW CHANNEL LINDDA

    ReplyDelete
  55. Like many other posters for me it is all about the products that are being sold actually being demonstrated by someone who knows what they are doing with them and not being constantly interrupted with stock updates and inane banter about families etc.

And a back to basics series would be absolutely fantastic - while I have been crafting for years I have never been a stamper until recently and of course I just wanted everything but had no idea that you had to use certain ink pads to achieve certain results.

Oh and is there any possibility that once stock sells out they could offer a waitlist just like QVC do so that if you are catching up on something you have recorded and absolutely MUST have the product you can at least look forward to it arriving later and not be disappointed that you have seen something you would love to have but cant cos being a mere mortal you had to go to work to pay for your craft addiction.

  56. HI Gordon.
Just heard that there may a new craft channel in the pipeline. I do hope so with a WIDE variety of crafts not just cardmaking /papercraft . Much more sewing, embroidery please as they seem to get very little air time by comparison and sourceing materials is difficult this day and age unless you can get to the big shows. You could combine ctafts that go together showing that a particular product can be used in a variety of ways. New outlook is what is needed - I'd agree more demos and less silly talk, and going over and over the same stuff - I know they have to sell the products but we really can remember what had been said 10 minutes ago. That infuriates me - so patronising...I don't need a recap of everything every 15mins!
It's an exciting venture if you can do it and I'd back it 100%.

  57. Good courteous customer service, reasonable p&p. Don't want to hear about personal lives of presenters, not interested, only interested in the crafting. Wider choice of products, preferably from smaller companies ........ definitely NO MCS, Kanban ...... only suppliers that deal honestly and efficiently with their suppliers and are prepared to deal honestly and efficiently with their customers. Reasonably price and good quality products ...... as many say £100 + take many products out of most people's budgets. Innovative demonstrations. Might I dare suggest Amy Shaw as a good demonstrator. No divas please.

  58. I would like to see a good variety of crafts, less card making but more scrapbooking. I sew so would like a decent amount of sewing. A reasonable amount of time giving to the demos I find it so frustrating that on C&C the demos are constantly interrupted to recap over and over again the products for sale. Allow the demonstrator to show the products in use rather than the presenter keep wittering on. I am more likely to buy something that I have seen in use.

  59. All the above, but my pet hate is never seeing things measured.
You usually have to gauge the size by presenters hands.

  60. Thanks for giving us a "headsup" on what may be a refreshing new show. I agree with all the comments. Mabe

  61. I look forward to watching a show that do demos only, not all this claptrap and sales banter it drives me mad. I record all Sue Wilson's shows she is amazing I love her demos, I fast forward all the bits were the presenter waffles on about something and nothing. I have ordered from C&C several times and had items missing from my parcel and it is a nightmare getting it sorted out. I love spellbinder and look forward to the new cutting system.

  62. Any new craft channel would have to offer something different, please not more of the same. It should certainly feature a variety of crafts and perhaps have set days and times so that those interested know exactly when to tune in. How to and Back to Basics shows would be fantastic - even seasoned crafters often need a nudge to remember different techniques and we can all learn something. Sufficient stock levels to allow demonstrations to be completed and not pulled within minutes. Presenters that actually craft (not necessarily well known names but perhaps try some of the new fresh small designers out there who produce fantastic work but arent tv personalities (yourself excluded of course) so know what is happening and dont interrupt with inane personal chatter and nonsense. Customer service in the UK staffed by people who actually speak english fluently (well if the NHS now insist on it shouldnt we crafters) and no premium rate call costs when you need to contact because if something is wtong charging you the earth to get it put right adds insult to injury. Im sure I will think of more later lol.

  63. What we need to see is the product and how it work's and what the finished product is like,,,,not the life and times of the presenter,,,also ENGLISH speaking people on the end of the phone line's xx

  64. I need to know what the product does, the cost and not pay over the odds for postage ie £10 for 4 products, and I live in Wiltshire! I am still waiting for a response since last year! Also not a premium rate telephone number especially when the web site is not working. Customers should be informed if the product 'cannot be used in the production of items for sale' as is the case with some spellbinder dies - it is too late once the product has been received. Jenny

  66. I am interested in stitchcrafts such as sewing, embroidery, and knitting - hand or machine - and I'm a bloke! I'm fed up with items being pushed as though they can be used to make money - I think things get sold from TV shops because people think they can make money with them, and then find out how tough it is after they have laid out a large amount of money. Don't be tempted - just enjoy your crafts and the pleasure of making for self, family, friends, or charities. It isn't easy to make money at home, and if you start and become at the beck and call of customers, all the pleasure will disappear. Last year, there was talk of a QVC craft channel, but all we got was part-time Stephanie. I used to watch C&C when it was Alan and Barry, then Jay Cooper and his everlasting warranties that couldn't ever be fulfilled. Let's keep it on an enjoyable personal level without intrusive presenter egos.
