NEWS FROM CALIFORNIA

Hi everyone from chilly California. Thats right its cold over here right now with an arctic blast hitting California . But then again 50 degrees is better that the UK right now i guess.

We have some great news for you all in the UK .

How would you like an A4 size die cutting machine that could take all makes of dies including the big sizzix dies , a true universal machine in every way and for under £90 !

A machine thats well made internally with metal insides instead of plastic , a machine thats hard to break.

A machine with a fold down platform and a carry handle making it totally portable .

The machine only requires two plates plus an embossing mat , nothing else is required .

WE WANT YOUR VIEWS !
WHAT COLOUR WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ?

This is your chance to help us shape the next generation of A4 DIE CUTTING SYSTEMS .

When will this new machine be available ...within the next three months !

Please post your views and comments for us to read .

Thank you

Gordon

  4. Sounds too good to be true!!!! because the present systems are frustrating ie. having to have 2 die cutting machines if you want to use both the sizzix dies but also want an A4 cutting platform. This can work out very expensive especially with the additional platforms you need to buy and at times, can be confusing as to which ones you need for what.
Not bothered about the colour as long as it works!
    Very interested

    1. Hi
I know this sounds that way , but everything we say is true having put it too the test with great pressure and force to see how it performed . It works well and only requires two plates plus embossing mat for all dies and folders , nothing else is needed.

  5. I am always open to a improvement with a more reliable cutting SYSTEM. I have the big shot pro its good but takes up a lot of work space. Don't want to sell it as I use it when doing project that the eBosser don't like. As l also have the eBosser which is very temperamental plates getting trapped or spitting it out even when you put correct combo in, I have never invested in the Grand calibur I was always put of by the plastic mechanized insides, If there was a new system with metal insides portable multi die usage , I would be interested especially if it was under £100. Colour don't matter to me all I would say don't really like brown/cream A4 machine Joy T die it was unsightly. Go for it I say.

    1. Hi
Be assured this is all metal inside , we have checked it and tested it thoroughly.Under £100 and for all dies including sizzix . Nothing extra required. I have warned about the e bosser for some time having tested it previous to production. No motor exists for a electric die to cutter to perform flawlessly and this is no exception.

  6. Oh PLEASE just moderate Gordon, it took me 3 attempts to get past verification and I didn't think I did it wrong but I must have done, you don't need verification and moderation, please turn verification off - you will get more comments then too!

  9. Hello Gordon. Sounds really interesting. Are you able to give us an idea on a price point yet?? Looking forward to the new website and new spellbinders products (?!?). Keep up the good work and reports from CHA. Thank you.

  10. Wow! It sounds too good to be true! However, if it can do everything you say, and at such a price, it won't really matter what colour it is but, please, not the ubiquitous pink! We are not all girly pink fans!

  12. Sounds good Gordon, I love my Grand Calibur but still use the Wizard for the thicker dies I have. I've looked at the Big Shot Pro but the price (and some of the reviews I've read) have put me right off that!

BTW, did I spot you in a photo from CHA/Scor Pal? I think I did ;D

  14. Having broken one grand Calibur (do not know why it happened) I am very nervous of breaking my current one and so I would love a machine which is more substantial. I have my Cuttlebug for thick dies, but I have never liked it for thinner dies as it does not cut well and always needs shims. The new machine sounds almost too good to be true. Could it really cut and emboss everything with only 2 plates? I have had to buy 2 more plates for the GC so that I can use all embossing folders and now I read that they are bringing out a smaller machine to provide greater pressure for some of their newest type of dies. I will watch for further details with interest and as for colour anything will do if the machine works well.

    1. We have looked at the new mini machine and i have to say it is very lovely , but i cant justify the price point to you for such a small machine. I am very confident our new machine has equal pressure to the new mini machine and will do the same things with ease . Internally it is a very strong machine which really does set it apart from others . It took a lot to impress me , believe me . I have no doubts you will be well surprised by what we bring you . We hope to have a sample in the uk by the end of this month to demonstrate at our warehouse and at shows prior to the new colours arriving shortly thereafter . We are trying to have one of the machines in time for the show at Stevenage , watch the blog for info !

  15. sounds brilliant would have to donate my sizzex and grand calibur to a good cause!!!to make room for extra dies Ilove pinks and purples but if the machine is as good as it sounds then colour isn't that important

  16. Sounds great if it takes up less space than my bigshot pro. Please consider taking word verification off Gordon - I am on my fifth attempt to comment. I gave up trying to comment on some of the other posts because of it

  17. I like the sound of this machine the less plates the better. I would like a duck egg blue or turquoise.
Spill the beans who is making it and will you have it at the Harrogate show in march?

  19. To be absolutely honest Gordon - NO!! I already have the original sizzix, Grand Calibur (love it), Big Shot love it) and the Vagabond (love it)- please no more machines that promise to be better than those I already have! Love the forum by the way but only just caught up. Love stamping, mixed media and altered art - so shows and products that mainly feature these types of products always interest me! I will travel anywhere for a good show or to Once Upon A Stamp! Fav show for me is HSNW - Port Sunlight!

I agree Port sunny is the most wonderful show and was certainly Roberts favourite run by the most wonderful bunch of people. On the subject of shows , well we have lots to announce very soon .

  20. Hi Gordon, sounds great to me, haven't bought an A4 machine yet. I love using the Bigz dies for cutting fabric and metal etc. I wouldn't care what colour it was as long as it works! Make the most of that warm sunshine, it's freezing here! Elizabeth x

  21. This sounds like a brilliant machine and I will follow this thread with interest.
I am interested in getting an A4 machine as I have a Cuttlebug only which I love, but feel it's time to move up a notch to produce more exciting projects.
Many thanks for all the information you're kindly providing, it all sounds very exciting!

    1. Hi Sue. I have decided not to stock this machine as i and others can see problems ahead. The motor in the machine is not up to the job in my opinion and i am sure the horror stories will start yet again as with the electronic big shot . Spellbinders cancelled there electronic machine after much dvelopement as there is no motor that can perform well without the problems the electronic big shot encountered .The pressure on the motor is simply just too great . These are my opinions having tested this machine when it was in developement . However everyone has a choice . I think you would love our new machine and it is well worth the wait .

    2. Thanks for that I trust your opinion & look forward to Stevenage when you may just have a demo machine for all to see.
